Self-Love: 15 Tips

1. Have Fun By Yourself
It’s always good to have a few days that are just for you to do something fun. Enjoy your own company doing things on your own.
2. Travel Once A Year
This may be completely out of your comfort zone, but it can be a great opportunity to learn new things about yourself and perhaps another culture!
3. Forgive Yourself For Mistakes
Reflecting on your mistakes can help you to forgive and forget. If you look back at some less than stellar choices you have made, and forgive yourself, you can forget about the past and move on.
4. Surprise Yourself
Try things out of your comfort zone and say yes to things you would not normally say yes to. You may find out that you enjoy things you never realized or tried before.
5. Start a Journal
If you write down your thoughts and feelings, you can go back at a later date and see how you coped with certain situations. It’s also a positive way to rid yourself of negative experiences and feelings, which helps you to focus on the good things moving forward.
6. Give Yourself A Break
We can be hard on ourselves sometimes; it’s natural, but give yourself a break. No one is perfect, so you can’t expect yourself to be.
7. Learn How To Love Yourself By Saying No To Others
Sometimes we do too much for people. We like to please other people, so we tend to stretch ourselves too thin and commit to everything we can. Sometimes it’s good to say ‘no’.
8. Make A List Of Your Accomplishments
Creating a list of what you have achieved can encourage you to feel good about yourself and what you have accomplished.
9. Make A Vision Board
Visualizing your goals is a helpful way to feel motivated and excited about your future. Focus on your dreams and start to love your life.
10. Pursue New Interests
Try something new that you’ve wanted to try for awhile or have been too scared to do. You never know what you might enjoy until you try it.
11. Challenge Yourself
If you challenge yourself, you will see what you are capable of. Perhaps you are a singer, who sings as a hobby, but has wanted to sing at a gig for years. Just go for it and see what happens.
12. Give Yourself A Break
Try and put aside 30 minutes of your time to completely relax. Taking a break from the chaos of life is a wonderful way to love and care for yourself. This could be taking a bubble bath, reading a book, or meditating.
13. Give Yourself Credit Where Credit Is Due
Celebrate your achievements! Tell others about what you have done, share your experiences, and be proud of your accomplishments. Give yourself the credit you deserve.
14. Work On Self-Trust
Trust yourself and your own instincts. You are most likely going to know what is best for you, so listen to your gut and trust how you feel.
15. Take Care Of Yourself
This one probably seems obvious, but taking care of yourself plays a big part in loving yourself, and a lot of people don’t do it. If you take care of yourself, you will be the best version of YOU!.
